Kalithea Apartments is a property of four attractive apartments allocated in an enviable, sun drenched position at the hillside of Ag. Stefanos bay in the northeast coast of Corfu. The apartments are some of those that people keep returning to. The owners have put a great thought and a lot of work in their construction. The apartments are characterized by the local architecture with large proportions, where the stone and wood are the main materials. The mature gardens, full of roses, geraniums, rosemary shrubs, lilies, cacti, bougainvilleas, lemon and orange trees surround the well designed property.

“Kali thea” means nice view and this is absolutely reflected to what you see as you enter into the apartment. The property consists of two apartments for four persons and two apartments for two/tree persons.

Each apartment enjoys stunning views to San Stefanos bay, the lush verdant scenery of the hills with the olive groves and cypresses, the channel between Corfu and Albania, the Albanian coastline and their valleys with the charming villages.

The property is approachable through a driveway from the local road. There is a parking area and following 14 steps, a local stone paved yard with a stone made barbeque area and a stone table for cooking and dining al fresco with family and friends.

A local stone made terrace is equipped with tables and chairs and sun loungers around the large swimming pool. The lovely tiled pool with the dimensions of 13 x 5 m² (Depths: Shallow= 1,00 m; Deep End=1.60m), as the children pool as well, are private for the residents of Kalithea, in in a relaxing environment amidst the flourishing shrubs.

Continuing onwards, a large and pleasantly grassy garden is the perfect setting for relaxation throughout the day and evening.

The two bedroom apartments are on the ground floor, but their balconies on the other side of the building are on the first floor. The one-bedroom apartments are on the upper floor. Even though there is a cool breeze from the hills, all the apartments are equipped with air-conditioning and ceiling fans.

One bedroom apartment No 1 (sleeping 2)

Entering the apartment there is an open-plan area with a fully equipped kitchen with the essential utensils: fridge/freezer, full oven, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, cutlery and crockery and a dining area with French doors open onto a spacious covered balcony with table and chairs for outside dining with breathtaking views to Ag. Stefanos. Continuing on the right hand side there is a living room with a fireplace with French doors open onto a balcony with views to the sea horizon. The bathroom has a full bath, with shower fitments, wc and a large basin. The one bedroom with twin beds is equipped with air-conditioning and ceiling fans and a private balcony with views to the Corfiot and Albanian countryside and Ionian Sea.

 

One bedroom apartment No 2 (sleeping 2/3)

Entering the apartment there is an open-plan area with a living room with a fireplace and on the right hand side a fully equipped kitchen with the essential utensils: fridge/freezer, full oven, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, cutlery and crockery and a dining area. The kitchen’ s balcony overlooks to the gardens and the French doors of the living room open onto a spacious covered balcony with table and chairs for outside dining with superb views to Ag. Stefanos. The bathroom has a full bath, with shower fitments, wc and a large basin. The one bedroom with twin beds is equipped with air-conditioning and ceiling fans and a private balcony with sea view.

A small wooden staircase leads to a small attic room with an extra bed to accommodate a third person.

Ground floor two bedroom apartment No 3 (sleeping 4)

Entering the apartment there is an open-plan area with a fully equipped kitchen with the essential utensils: fridge/freezer, full oven, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, cutlery and crockery and a dining area. Continuing on the right side there is a living room with French doors open onto a spacious covered balcony with table and chairs for outside dining with breathtaking views to Ag. Stefanos. There is a bathroom with full mosaic bath with shower fitments and a large basin. The one double-bedded bedroom is equipped with air-conditioning and ceiling fans and the French doors open onto a private balcony with magnificent views to the sea horizon. The one twin-bedded bedroom has air-conditioning and ceiling fans as well and the French doors lead to terrace with views to the flourishing hills and sea.

 

Ground floor two bedroom apartment No 4 (sleeping 4)

Entering the apartment there is an open-plan area with a fully equipped kitchen with the essential utensils: fridge/freezer, full oven, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, cutlery and crockery and a dining area. The living room has French doors open onto a spacious covered balcony with table and chairs for outside dining with breathtaking views to Ag. Stefanos. There is a bathroom with full mosaic bath with shower fitments and a large basin. The one double-bedded bedroom is equipped with air-conditioning and ceiling fans and the French doors open onto a private balcony with magnificent views to the sea horizon. The one twin-bedded bedroom has air-conditioning and ceiling fans as well and the French doors lead to terrace set in the garden with green surroundings.

Booking Information

• The day of arrival is either Monday or Friday. Bookings can be made only for 1 week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks, etc.
• Please email us with your enquiries, as we can be flexible depending on period and availability.
• We are ready to help you find the accommodation suitable to your preference.
• Blue Bay Travel (reception) is located in Kalami at the front of Dimitris Apartments. We will provide you with instructions for your arrival.
• We have information book in the Villa, we kindly request that you read the book as it has important health and safety information and information regarding the functioning of the property.
• Check in time is 13:00 and check out time is 11:00
• Baby cots and high chairs are provided at extra charge
• Campbeds are provided at extra charge.
• There is maid service three times per week.
• Towels will be changed twice a week and linen will be changed once a week.
• Extra changes are available upon request for an additional charge.

Essential information that will enhance your holiday

1. Flights:
   E-mail us and we will be happy to provide you with our list of suggested airline companies for your flight ticket bookings.
2. Transfers:
   Blue Bay Travel arranges private transfers with licensed taxis or minibuses for the guests’ arrivals and departures. The guests arrive comfortably at their accommodation, ready to start their holiday avoiding the delays and worries of getting a transfer at the busy Corfu airport, especially when the temperatures are high.
   Transfer arrangements can be made at the time of booking or 2 weeks before your arrival date. The driver will be waiting for you at the arrivals of the airport, holding a clipboard with your name on it. If there is a delay with your flight, the driver will be waiting for you at the time you arrive. For the transfer booking, your flight details are required: flight number, flight arrival (Corfu) time and airport.

Driving instructions from the airport

1. At the exit to the airport, turn RIGHT. You will pass through a residential area before reaching a junction with traffic lights at the sea.
2. Turn LEFT at the sea and continue along this road. You will pass ‘Corfu Palace’ Hotel on your left, the Old Town on your left and the Old Fort on your right, you will eventually pass under an archway of the Palace of Saint’s Michael & George.
3. Follow the road and you will pass the Old Port. Go through 2 sets of traffic lights followed by a long stretch of bars, night clubs and restaurants on the left, the sea will be on your right all the way to San Stefanos.
4. You will come to a large T-junction with traffic lights, turn RIGHT down the slip road.
5. Continue along the dual carriageway; pass through several sets of traffic lights. Just after the ‘Park Hotel’ on the left (there is half a boat sticking out the front of the hotel) you will come to traffic lights at a busy junction. Turn RIGHT – follow signs for Kassiopi.
6. Pass through resorts of Dassia, Ipsos, and then the road will narrow as you start your ascent along the coastline. You will pass through Barbati, Nissaki, Kaminaki, Kentroma, Gimari and Vlachatika.
7. You will pass the turning for Koloura and Kalami on your right. Continue still on the main road for approx. 10 mins and you will see the sign for Aghios Stefanos on the right side – Turn RIGHT here.
8. Turn first left before the village starts and you will drive along a country road, you will eventually come into a residential area and pass numerous villas. You will pass Villa Peggi on your right, then a private villa with no name.
9. The next turning on the right leads to Kalithea Apartments. You will continue turn inside the path; straight ahead you will find the block of 4 apartments.

Places and beaches nearby

From Ag. Stefanos onwards north:

1. Avlaki: A shingle and sand beach. Set in a very underdeveloped area, with only a few tavernas and a windsurfing club.
2. Kassiopi: A very popular and lively resort, with many bars, tavernas, restaurants, gift shops, supermarkets and A.T.M. machines. Place of archaeological interest as well. The beaches are very small and pebbled, and are hidden away around the headland.
3. Agios Spyridonas: This is a small bay that has barely been developed except for a taverna and a scattering of villas. It has a sandy beach and the Andinioti Lagoon is nearby. The lagoon is a protected wildlife reserve, which attracts numerous species of birds, mammals, wild flowers and insects.
4. Ano Perithia: A beautiful old church welcomes you into the village. When you stroll through the village, you get an eerie feeling as you see the abandoned houses with the shutters hanging off and the doors wide open. Walk through the cobbled streets and eventually you will be in the village square, where you will find two outdoor tavernas.

From Ag. Stefanos towards south

1. Kerasia:  Few villas and one taverna residing in this undeveloped but popular area. A nice stop for swimming and snorkelling. The way to Kerasia is through Ag. Stefanos.
2. Kouloura: This small harbour with fishing boats is set against a backdrop of cypress and pine trees and there is only one taverna. There is an old chapel of Ag. Nicolas. The nearest beach is just a little further along at Houhoulio. Upon Kouloura’s cape, an old estate stands since the 11th century and now belongs to the Agnelli family.
3. Kalami: This hideaway heaven is one of the most popular resorts on Corfu Island for its natural beauty and Greek traditional style.
4. Kaminaki: A beautiful small hamlet with a white pebble beach and two small tavernas. Ideal for snorkelling. 
5. Nissaki: The sleepy Nissaki village has just a sprinkling of tavernas and local shops. A small road reaches the exquisite, but tiny, white shingle coves.
